Stories of Treasure Hunting in Sham Shui Po
We often begin to see things differently — only when they start to disappear. What once blended into the everyday suddenly feelsrare, precious, worth remembering.
Some things, like hidden treasures, tucked in plain sight.
In this immersive experience, a series of workshop was conducted to 3D scan real objects found in the Sham Shui Po district.
The Result
Objects were selected and documented by 100 students invited by the curators, who traveled through Sham Shui Po to observe, explore, and collect, bringing a fresh perspective to the community's everyday culture.

This exhibition uses 3D scanning as a contemporary act of preservation, and also as a technological "re-cognition." By documenting, piece by piece, Sham Shui Po objects that seem insignificant, before they disappear or get replaced, it recovers fragments forgotten by time, and teaches a new way of appreciating the cultural traces weathered by the years.
