Opening of Fading Out/In Exhibition

Fading Out / In: Designed to Remember is now open
隱/現:為記憶而設

This project began in the last quarter of 2025. It has been almost a year of research, conversations, explorations, designing and fabricating, and it is a humble feeling to see the space filled with visitors at last.

Thank you to Eddy Yu and Hung Lam of CoDesign, my co-curators, for generously sharing their insights into Hong Kong’s design culture and history. The exhibition is richer for everything you brought to it.

Thank you to Eddy Yu and Hung Lam of CoDesign, my co-curators, for generously sharing their insights into Hong Kong’s design culture and history. Eddy, especially, whom I owe a great deal to, is such a role model as a responsible designer. Not only is he serious and reflective about selecting topics and projects, I very much appreciate his capability of analyzing and challenging my own thinking about curating on shared culture and identity. Thank you to Hong Kong Design Centre for another project. I have learned much about my own roots through it.

The people behind the work

Every project in the show began with someone deciding that something was worth keeping or reusing. Thank you to all of them.
